Default Exporting and Restoring my database (business relationship gone bad)

My mother had a website with a business partner that had a 'friends' friend create.... needless to say that business relationship fell totally apart and the guy changed the password to access her zencart. We had to go as far as faxing information of our business and LLC to the domain registrar to get access to that then the same to the hosting company...

So now I have access to PHPMYADMIN as well as the CPANEL for the account, could I do a database dump and retain most/all of their transaction info and import it back into a new database/website... or can i change a value somewhere in the PHPADMIN that would give us access back to the backend administration area?
    Thanks for the help!

If you've got full control over the hosting account, you can (and should) reset ALL passwords, including those in the hosting account, cpanel, ftp, email, everything, as well as in Zen Cart.

You can reset the Zen Cart admin access by following the instructions in this article: https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/index.php?article=2

You should get into the practice of doing regular backups of the database (phpMyAdmin) AND of all the files (FTP) so that you can do whatever emergency recovery might be required at any time in the future. https://www.zen-cart.com/tutorials/i...hp?article=103
