Default Followed FAQ instructions to convert to SSL, still not working.

I have taken over a zencart website that I did not set up. I attempted to convert the website to enable SSL. I followed the instructions listed in: FAQ: How do I enable SSL after I have installed Zen Cart?

    - I verified the https:... worked
    - I updated the two Configure.php files to use "https"
    - setting ENABLE_SSL to true
    - cleared my cache and cookies
    - I even updated the file includes/templates/apple_zen/common/tpl_header.php to use the HTTPS URL.
But the links to the categories and the products have not changed, when I hover over them they still show the http: sitename URL.

    What have I missed?

    (Version of ZC : v1.3.9d)

    Thanks, I appreciate any help.

    That wasn't necessary.

Can you post the contents of your two configure.php files - be sure to redact the sensitive path info and database info.

    Just noticed this:

But the links to the categories and the products have not changed, when I hover over them they still show the http: sitename URL.
Those aren't supposed to change. Only login/create account/checkout are supposed to change. What do those paths show?

I guess I was expecting ALL the paths to now appear with the HTTPS: prefix. I didn't expect that it would toggle back and forth, between the http and the https sites. I thought everything would be HTTPS.

The login calls the https. So I guess there is no problem?

If login calls it, you're good to go. It is possible to setup the entire site as secure, but it's a very bad idea. Search engines generally don't index secure pages.
