    Default Internet Explorer Column Bug

    Hi,
I've check my website on multiple website browsers, and it looks fine on all except one version of Internet Explorer where the two side columns and the above categories are pushed up into the header banner. A. I can't figure out which version of IE that's causing me the problem and more importantly B. Where in the zen cart code can I just change the column height? I already went in and changed the header width to "x%" and that seemed to fix all of my problems until this column issue.

    my website is www.mycabinethardware.com
Thanks so much for your help!
    Sincerely,
    Rae

It's IE6 and 7 where this common problem is showing itself. You need to change the height of #logoWrapper in your stylesheet to at least the height of your header image, 205px.

p.s. That's not a Zencart bug, so your thread will probably be moved to a more appropriate forum.

p.p.s. Before you go any further, create your custom template - search for 'custom' in the Tutorilas/FAQ section.

    A. Thanks for the advice... But my header is set at height "x" does that matter with the 205px?

    B. How could you tell about the custom template stuff? Does it really matter and would I literally have to start over if I did that?! I'm kinda freaked out now. :-(

    A. It wasn't really advice - it was a solution for your IE problem. Trust me and change the height of #logoWrapper from 80px to 205px.

    B. I can look at the source code of your site and see what template you're using. (So can you - try it.) It doesn't look like you've edited many template files yet, so I would suggest you follow the tutorial and create your custom template now.

Once you have your store ready to go, post a request for reviews in the Reviewers Corner forum. I have some suggestions, including the advisability of having Google Ads on your ecommerce site.

    Ok... I'll trust you. :-)

My site is already up, is that a problem? Will the fact I have it up and now have to change it over affect it? I already have goole ads on. :-)

No, no and that's probably not the best idea in the world. You'll need to expend some effort, and maybe some money, to help search engine users find your store among the tens or hundreds of thousands of sites that sell the same or similar products as you do, and you're going to offer the people who do eventually find your site an easy way to go somewhere else, in return (maybe) for the few pennies you'll get from Google.
