questions about a new installation of 1.5 final

I am currently on the latest version of zencart before 1.5 and was wondering.
I am planning to do a clean installation of 1.5 final and want to know
1/ Is it possible to port the old information (such as the 1.39h database to the new installation?
2/ Will the Canada Post shipping mod work?
3/ is there anything I need to know regarding transferring over my images from the previous version?
4/ Is my current version still secure in the meantime if this takes me a year and a day? LOL

Anything else that might help me in this endeavour would be greatly appreciated.

1. The upgrade process, if followed as described, will keep your old information, because the live site will still be using the same database in the end. (a temporary "copy" will be used for testing your upgrade, but then you will do the actual update on the live database after all your testing is done).
2. Haven't looked at that lately. Discuss it in its support thread.
3. There was no change in how images work as far as original Zen Cart code works. If you're using addons that handle images differently, then you'll have to sort that out with those addons directly.
4. Not as secure as it would be with the new version
