Lightbox For Also Purchase / Cross Sell

Hi - I've done some searching and can't seem to find a result on this:

I would like to use the lightbox effect for something other than Product Images.

For Instance, a customer is viewing a Product (product info display)

On this Product's page, the "Also Purchased" and "Ultimate Cross Sell" mods are showing products as well. When the customer sees something he likes in one of these mods, before adding the main Product to his cart, and he clicks on this other product, it redirects him away from the main Product page.

I would like instead for the Also Purchase or Ultimate Cross Sell product to show up in a lightbox, with only the Product Info Display (including Add To Cart button) popup in a lightbox. So in other words, excluding the template and other content of the website, just the product info display in a lightbox - giving him the option to review the product, add it to his cart, or close the lightbox without further action. Is this possible? Here is an example:

The product being viewed there is a Motorola Xoom, but click on one of the products listed under the "Accessories" section and see what I'm talking about. Thanks!

Yes, it is possible but you'd need to write the code to do that, or have it written for you. If you choose to take it on then a good starting point might be to look at something like http://fancybox.net/

Thanks for the response. I am completely incapable of writing such code. My idea of using zencart is copying and pasting snippets of code here and there to produce something that makes sense - and that works excellently for me. Now creating code, will be a real problem.

I wonder if there's anyone on the forum who could come forward and give me an estimate on what you would charge to do something like this?

Hi Niccol, I'm quite familiar with oDesk and Elance etc etc. I just thought I'd take my chances here, it being a zen-cart forum and I would not have to put my trust in some dodgy Indian chap - but thanks I'll look at the freelancer sites and see if I can get some good work done.

P.S. If anyone should even think of slapping me with the racism card, I am Indian - so don't waste your breath

Well, there used to be a section here for Commercial Help Wanted. That feature was removed from the forum about a year ago. Instead the developers chose oDesk as there primary method of posting 'Commercial Help Wanted' and are now quite strict about discouraging either asking for or offering commercial help on this forum.

This is possible and I have been working on a Quick View feature, here is a link to the thread

I am still testing it, I have it working on the Also Purchased, never used the ultimate cross sell mod.

Here is a link to see it on the Also Purchased, still testing and just a test site, so kinda messy.

I also have this working on the specials & new products sideboxes, specials & new products centerboxes and the specials & product listing page.
