Naming additional images for customers

Hi there,

I'd like to create one product called Wedding Wishing Tags and then have all of the available designs listed under that one product name. I was thinking the best way to accomplish this would be to add all of the available design options as additional images and then have an attribute pull down with all the design names. I understand how to name the actual files so they show up as additional images when I upload them but I am wondering if there is a way to have a name for each image so the customer knows the name of each design so they can choose the right one from the pull down attribute? I hope that makes sense.

Instead of additional images, make the images "swatches" for their attribute values. Then with the right display settings, you can have each image next to its select radiobutton. How many do you expect to have for any one product?

Thanks gjh42 for your quick reply. So far, I have 12 designs but I will be creating more, probably at least another 12. I've used colour swatches for a different product item and I tried using radio buttons for that one and I was unable to get the images to appear in horizontal rows whereas I was able to accomplish that using the drop down menu. Am I maybe doing something wrong?
