XAMPP 404 error

I posted on their support forum.
Seems that the blocked port issue is very common...but answers regarding how to unblock them aren't.

For anyone else that is running into XAMPP issues, please feel free to post up and let me and everyone else know how you fixed the problem.

FWIW:

The only thing that u have to do is to open xamp, then in the main window got to "Config" and when table promps u tick Apache and then go to "service and port settings" and change port 80 = 81 and port 443 to 4499 and then click "ok" u do not have to close or unistall skype or other programs ,
