    Default help with attribute sizes

    Hi,
This may be simple but I simply cannot work this out.
I have a type of Men's jeans with sizes from 30" - 42" waist. On that particular type of jeans there is also a leg size attribute of either 32" or 34". However on the waist sizes of 30" and 32" there is only a 32" leg size available. How can I make it show this?

    Thnx
    Mak

Stock by attributes basically, but I don't know what version works with 1.3.9. There are/were several versions designed with it in mind, but I don't know which offered the compatibility for which you're looking. Either multiple attributes (jeans with both waist and length measurements) or sngle attributes where there are jeans with certain dimensions identified say one product for each waist size and an attribute for pant length.

There are other "non-conventional" ways to address it... You could capture the selection made and if it doesn't fit your criteria that you know exists, then could bounce the customer back... There's a number of ways to approach depending on need/speed/repeatabilty/etc...

Ok thnx. I thought it would have been alot easier than that. Surely this would be a common thing for a clothing store.

Yes it is common for a clothing store, but not all stores are clothing related, and at the time that software was wrtten (ZC 1.3.9, things were a little different on what contributions others had added.)

I see, so is this something that has been tackled in ore recent versions if I upgrade? Or would I still need the plugin?

Either a plugin, or if as sort of stated, if you split up your product so that there is only the attrbute options available to that sizing, then could do without the plugin...
