Page Title Screwed up

My title (on all pages) shows META_TAG_TITLE - and I cannot figure out why. I've searched the forum files for hours.

I'm at my wits end and have no idea how to fix this. I've edited the meta_tags.php and uploaded it. I've even uploaded the original file with Zen Cart in the title and tags.

I'm running V1.3.9h

The only add on installed is blank sidebox and it's been there since I created the site.

It's a fairly new site (October 2011)
and I decided today to change the page title - BIG MISTAKE. If I've done something to it, I can't figure out what.

I have two other zen cart sites and while they have been around for awhile and I have not updated them, they're working fine.

ANY ideas would be appreciated.

You have a coding error in meta_tags.php. Maybe an extra ' or missing a ' or an extra carriage return or an extra /.

Also, check your header.php and english.php files.

Thanks, I thought of that, but I uploaded a clean, not touched, original file with the Zen Cart info in the title & tag line. Didn't change anything. I've not edited either header or english.php at all.

I forgot to mention that I uploaded the edited Cross Stitch meta_tags.php to a brand new install of Zen Cart that I haven't touched yet and the title is correct. You can see it here;

Any chance includes/modules/meta_tags.php is missing or corrupted ?
