Default Why is Paypal locked to only paypal members???

When the clients checkout they go to paypal but they cannot pay unless they become members on paypal!!! How do i enable them to pay with credit card without joining paypal. I called up paypal but they claim that it is zencart who is blocking it!

I am using 1.3.9h and paypal standard - IPN.

    THanks,

    Sam

What exactly is making you think the customers have to become members on PayPal? That's not how Zen Cart works, so it sounds like you're confused about something you're seeing rather than what's actually happening.

And, why aren't you using Express Checkout? It's a far better choice.

When they check out it is promting them with a paypal signin but below instead of the normal credit card area there is a credit card area and the registration area combined. If they want to pay with credit card they have to become a member!...

Send me your site URL so I can register as a customer and reach your PayPal page... then we might know what's happening.

It may be that you have the following (AT PAYPAL SITE) set to OFF:

PayPal™ Account Optional ... if you want to allow customers to pay by credit card and not have to create a PayPal™ account, set this to ON.

When I reach PAYPAL on YOUR site I get:

When I do the same on MY SITE I get:

You have an incorrect setting at PAYPAL (their monkey does not know what he is talking about) - it is NOT a zencart fault. You and I use EXACTLY the same software.

Thanks so much. I am going to have to call them up again...

I can't believe that they told me incorrect info.

This was asked earlier, but you didn't answer:
What is your setting for PayPal Account Optional, in your PayPal account?
