    Default Multiple images

Hi i am going to attempt to load multiple images to some of the products i am selling just thought i would write here first as to how i think i should do it incase i am completely wrong.

I have saved the product like this as example.

Baby sleepsuit.jpg i have saved that in 3 different sizes 550,250,138 and saved them in seperate folders small, medium, large

Now for the multiple images i have saved them like this

    Baby sleepsuit_1.jpg
    Baby sleepsuit_2.jpg
    ect

I haven't actually loaded this to my website yet as i want to know if what i have done is correct so far, and is it just a case of loading them through filezilla.

Also when i put the product in to my zencart does the title of the product have to be exactly the same e.g title Baby sleepsuit

If anyone can give me any help or advice or point me to a step through guide somewhere that would be great. Also i haven't really done anything through filezilla yet does this really matter as i have read a few things so i think i have a rough idea on what to do

Image filenames should NOT EVER have word spaces. If you need to split words in the filenames, use hyphens.

Similarly, LINUX systems differentiate between upper and lower case, so a general principle is to ALWAYS use lower-case for filenames and folder names.

    Baby sleepsuit.jpg (BAD)

    baby-sleepsuit.jpg (GOOD)

Also, the image filenames don't have to match the product name. It's generally good practice to make image names understandable for ease in managing them, but the customer will not really see them. The title tags that come up when you hover on the image will just have the product name.

If the image names don't have to match the product name then when I load all the images through FileZilla how would it know what images should match with what product?

You need to asign the base image to the product in admin > Catalog > Categories/Products. Then the additional names will automatically be picked up when they are found on the server.

You can upload them all at once and select the base file on the server, or load the base files through admin and then upload the rest. Loading the base files from your computer individually will likely be much slower.
