USPS module problem

I tried setting up the USPS module as per post #26 but when I go to my shopping cart I get a Server error message as follows:

Server error
The website encountered an error while retrieving https://motorsportswiring.com/index....ckout_shipping. It may be down for maintenance or configured incorrectly.
Here are some suggestions:
Reload this webpage later.
HTTP Error 500 (Internal Server Error): An unexpected condition was encountered while the server was attempting to fulfill the request.

If I reload the original usps.php file that came with v1.3.9H I don't get that message.

What could be causing this?

Make sure you have a clean download and reload the USPS shipping module to the server ...

Sounds like you have a bad copy on the server ...

This might be the wrong thread, but I couldn't find another spot - feel free to move.

I have an existing USPS web tools user id that I have been using for a while. I recently signed up for shipping assistant, and the USPS gave me a new ID. Should I use each id where it was assigned, convert over to using only one of the ids? Is there an advantage to using one id in both locations? (Everything is working fine using the 2 ids.)
