same customers for two admins/product groups

Hi,

I have setup a donation site with different regular funds (let's say fund-1, fun-2 fund-3) as "products", and all is fine; now I need to add an extra special fund (fund-4) that should be managed by another admin, though the donators will be the same, meaning they should have the ability to donate to all four funds, and thus having all the donations (purchases) history in their profile.

Admin-2 of fund-4 should not know about the amount/donations to the other three funds, and admin 1 can/could know about the donations to fund4.
For the sake of transparency the reason is to protect the private nature of the donations.

As noted above the donators should have all donations in their history, meaning it would be good to have one profile/account for both fund groups (regular and special).

Is such configuration possible? If yes how?
I have looked at multisite add-on, and my understanding is it is meant for multiple domains, while I'd like to keep it on a single domain.

Actually running v1.39h with admin profiles addon.
Would the v1.50 admin/user management allow the above setting?

My understanding is that admins can only be restricted by type of page or resource, not by different resources within a type. e.g. you can't allow one admin to see category a but not category b.

It might be possible with expert coding, though I understand that any admin (who should be trusted, else why are they an admin?) would be able to access a page outside their settings by entering its URL directly. This would require that they already know the URL they want to go to.

Thank you very much for your input, that's what I suspected, but needed an expert opinion.
I guess I'll setup another site specific for the other fund.
