Donate for cart contents?

Hello an alle,

Ich möchte gerne mein Shop umbauen, so das Kunden Artikel für 0.00 euro bekommen. wenn sie dann vom Warenkorb zur Kasse gehen, bei paypal eine Seite aufgeht, wo der Kunde dann ein bestimmten Betrag, den er sich aussuchen kann, als spende gibt.

Bei Paypal kann ich zwar ein HTML code Button erstellen für spenden, den kann ich aber nicht im Shop einbauen.

Gibt es da ein weg oder Modul, das ich das so nutzen kann?

What you are proposing to do is a violation of PayPal policy.

Hmmm ... I'm not so sure that it's a violation. But I suppose it depends on the accuracy of translation.

One can certainly set up a product in their store (whether it's used for collecting donations or anything else is largely moot) which has a purchase price of 1.00 and allow customers to purchase whatever "quantity" they want, thus making it a flexible-price product. What I like to do is:-

Set my Products at a purchase price of 0.00 Euro,

When a Customer goes to the checkout, that a Customer than can desight how much he or she would pay for the Product or Products as a Donation via Paypal.

I can great a Button in Paypal for Donations, but I don´t know how I can intigrate this in the Admin Area unter Payments.

Zen Cart doesn't have a built-in facility for choosing a payment amount at checkout. It only builds checkout prices from products in the cart.

You could use the approach I mentioned above: Set default quantity as 0, set price as 1.00, and allow people to set their price by specifying the quantity ... on each product when they add it to the cart.

Any other approach will require you to write your own custom code to override the systems which calculate the amount for checkout, to suit your unique needs.
