Cannot Add Categories, Products, Manufactrurers in the Admin section

Hi

I am going to admin section, and doing the following steps:

1. Login to Admin
2. Add a Category, Product, Manufacturer
3. Click Save
4. It goes back to Admin home screen and doesn't create any category, product or Manufacturer.

Please help urgently.

If you go to Catalog ... Manufacturer ... and click on EDIT and UPDATE ... does the same thing happen?

Yes same thing happens. Not able to edit a manufacturer.

I would check your file on the server for:
/admin/includes/functions/html_output.php

and make sure that it is the correct file ...

Also, review the Security Patches and Updates ...

it really does sound like the site is patched and patched incorrectly ...

You can compare the file to a clean download of Zen Cart and then check the Security Updates and Patches ...

Hi All,

I got a nice reply from Ajeh regarding the categories and products. I cann't even edit any of those ... However, I am able to edit the prices ....

I am trying to reinstall the zen-cart to get the files.....

i do not know what else to do like see some log files for the admin section ...

Is there any error log that I can see for the Admin section?

1. When I create a new category and then save it it doesn't save ...

For future reference you can install the debug utility that is in the free software addons section to get what errors there are
