Change Home Page loading order!

I have a website i am working on wwwDOTwoodco-onlineDOTcom/test and i am trying to figure out how to change the load order of the home page any tips are appreciated!!

The home page has a fade slideshow in the main_page and has Editable Center Boxes installed to create the boxes under the slideshow.

Currently the slideshow pictures (10) have to download before the boxes underneath will load (only in IE - FF works fine!!)

What i am trying to do is have the boxes load first so the page is complete and then load the slideshow.

What do i need to change to make this happen??

The largest one is 268KB - i tried compressing them down so the largest was 45KB and it sped up a little but you still have to wait for the center boxes to load! and it looks like nothing is happening because the first pictures on the slideshow are there so it looks like everything is there because it is working!!

In FF it works fine!

Unless it is just my computer/internet connection!!

The eight editable centerboxes only have an image and a short paragraph of text, with images ranging from 5 to 45k, so there doesn't seem to be a good reason for those to be holding up the page loading.
Is it perhaps the rest of the slideshow images that are delaying the page load?

To get the editable canterboxes to line up as you want them in two rows of four, add to your stylesheet

Even the fadeshow images seem to be between 7 and 47k, which is not a lot to load. Curious...
