Hello greeting when not logged in

Hi,

I have edited my Main Page in the define pages editor and I don't know how to remove the message:

Hello http://www.buddhamouse.com/store/ind...ain_page=login!

That displays when I am not logged in.

I just noticed it, so I am not sure at what point I did something wrong.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

YOu might try this:

admin panel/ configuration/ layout settings/ Customer Greeting - Show on Index Page

1. set to 0

Thank you for your response. That does take away the greeting, but I would like the greeting to be present.

It is just the web page that it is pointing to when not logged in that I want to get rid of. I know that at one point it would just say hello if not logged in. I must have done something to make it display rather than remain hidden if the user was not logged in.

It appears you have it fixed. Looks fine in Firefox.

Sorry, that was my mistake. I left the configuration Greeting off.

When I turn it on the message is still there, even in Firefox.

Use your developer's toolkit to search for buddhamouse.com and I bet you'll find it incorrectly entered in one of your language files.

Hi,

I tried that but didn't find anything. But your suggestion alerted me to simply start over with the language file index.php.
So, I restored the back up and started over and all is well in my zen world now!
