Default turning off right, and left column, and keep the sideboxes

    Hi,

I am experimenting with the layout, and moved the "categories", "info", and "more info" boxes to the footer, and seems to work fine; the problem I don't know how to deal with is that if I turn off both columns, they disappear from the footer as well, whereas if I turn off only one of the two, they stay, and work fine.

Is there a way to have it like that?

    Thank you.

You can't move sideboxes to different areas on the page and then turn off the sidebox column they are contained in. Nor can you change the width of relocated sideboxes to a value different from the sidebox column width, so far as I know.

Thanks, that's what I wouldn't like to hear ;), and what I kinda figured, and suspectd ...
I'm wondering if there can be a simple implementation to override it.

Simple, no. You could reconsider your design, or use EZ pages to place those links in the footer. There's a mod that will style the ez page links in vertical columns.

Grab a copy of Picaflor Azul's ALL BUSINESS template (free add-ons) and see how Anne has developed the footer for column styling and coding.

Depending on how good you are at rearranging code from header to footer

This can be modified by removing everything but categories and then modifying the style sheet so it does not drop down but stays open. Most of the work is done for you.

Just an update for future users.

I checked the suggested downloads, and found that All Business uses this mod (footer menu), which does the job.

    Thank you all.
