How to see what file does what?

Hi,

I feel like I'm always going around in circles trying to find out what file is included where... what folder to look in, what to edit, etc. every time I want to make any changes to the look of my site.

At the moment I want to move the Comments box in the checkout process further up the page, directly under the delivery address, but can't for the life of me see what file I need to edit.

Can anyone tell me an easy way of figuring out what file I need to edit when I want to do these things? (And specifically what file(s) I need to edit to move the Comments field?)

What I usually do when I don't know what file to edit is view the source of the page and copy a class or id name that looks like it would be unique to that page (or at least relatively few pages) and paste it into the Developers Tool Kit.

Moving page elements around relative to each other is almost always done in template files (that start with tpl_ and are found in the template folders). Most are named such that it's obvious what they control.

Thanks a mil Steve - I did that, found the file, and have edited it to successfully move what I needed to move.
