    Default Sudden Admin login issue

I am suddenly having an admin login issue. When I try and login, the little loading graphic comes up and then the page just refreshes. If I enter an incorrect password, the error message comes up the way it is supposed to. If I enter the correct password, that is when it just refreshes without any error message. There are two admin accounts, both superusers, and I've tried both with the same result.

I tried resetting the password, and the whole reset process went properly, including entering the temp password and creating a new one, but once that was done, it again just refreshed to the login page.

I also tried running zc_install and updating the config files, but no luck there either.

It was just working fine maybe 20 minutes ago. The only change I made was adding a 301 redirect to the htaccess to redirect from non-www to www. I tried removing the redirect but still have the same issue.

Any ideas on how I can fix this?

    Thank you!

It's happening on the customer side as well. When I try and login, it just redirects back to the home page. I cannot understand what is causing this.

Nm it's only happening on FF. I already tried clearing my cookies but once I flushed the DNS it's working again.

Yes, that will break things until you clear your cache, since the old cookie is broken when you change the core of how things work.

But, in addition to that, there's seldom any significant need to do that sort of .htaccess redirect, since Zen Cart already produces the URLs correctly, and also tells search engines which correct URLs to use even if the wrong one was accessed.

With no changes to the site or configuration, a user started having this problem. Other admin logins would work, but the site owner's login just redirected to the login page without error - Tried this on two computers with the same result. I reset the password and still got the same behavior.

the fix - at least for the moment - was to delete the user from the admin and create it again.

Any ideas on why this would happen?

Great... but where can I find "the posting tips section?" I don't see it at the forum root, nor from the forum rules, nor from a search for "posting tips..."

Click the Reply button below, or the Quick Reply button. That will open a box where you can write your post. And IN THE TOP OF THAT BOX is a big section of bulleted points on things to include in your post ... and the title of that box is aptly named "Posting Tips".
