I should start out by saying I LOVE zencart and still use it on my main website but I had a little sideline one that was not very busy and not worth upgrading. Instead I have merged this smaller site into my main one and will continue to use zencart, however with the old site I am wary of leaving all the old zencart info on the server as it's an older more vulnerable version of the cart (the other newly merged website is all fully upgraded). I have downloaded a copy of all files from that website folder on the server as a backup so can I just delete it all from the server and add a basic index.html page giving links to the new merged website?
Basically I would feel safer not having this older version of zencart on the server alongside my more secure sites, so how can I remove zencart completely and change it to a one-page 'this site has moved to www.xxxxx' page instead? (ideally by deleting all the files and uploading an index.html page but wanted to double check that would not mess up other websites etc first).
Thanks for any help.
