Please help, this is not a difficult rocket science problem. your help is greatly appreciated.

And if you go to Add an Attribute to a Product and click on:
Choose file to upload

then click on:
TEXT/UPLOAD FILE [#0]

then insert it ... can you now go to the Product and click on Browse to upload a file for this product?

No use, the attribute won't be added to the product, I have no clue why, but in the live website I did add the attribute to a product!!! Wouldn't this be odd?

Could you please create an attribute and add the attribute to a product and write down the steps?

I want to follow exactly the right steps to do this, I am stucked here for too long, your help is greatly appreciated.

I finally fixed the problem:

It is caused by my duplicated records in table products_options, so what I need to do is go to phpMyAdmin and open the table and delete the redundant ones.

Once the redundant ones are deleted from table, the function works as expected.

I also found the cause why the file uploader shows no textbox in chrome or other browsers based on chrome's core, it is because chrome is using webkit, unless you apply some workaround, the problem won't get fixed.

I would like to know if anyone has any workaround on chrome specifically, please PM me because I won't track this post anymore.
