    Default re-organising my product catalog

I'm upgrading to 1.5 and I thought I'd take the opportunity to re-jig the categories a little. I want to move all my products around a lot, changing/deleting/creating categories.

The obvious way to do this is using easy-pop - download to spreadsheet, sort it out, upload again.

The only thing is that unless I delete all the current categories and products before uploading my re-organised catalog then the upload will add everything alongside what's already there.

Deleting all the current categories and products wouldn't be a problem except for the fact that the uniqueID then gets deleted and thus it means that the stats collected about purchased products would no-longer relate to the product - even if the model number is the same.

Can anyone think of a better way of me doing this?

The way that will work for sure is to create or rename your current categories as desired, and move products where they need to be in admin > Catalog > Categories/Products. I know it may not be as elegant as you would like.

Hey there, thanks for the reply. That's the option I was hoping to avoid. I've got quite a lot of products so it would take me days to go through each one
