Running 1.3.8a.
Our shop has Categories, subcategories then products.
We would like to change the sort order of subcategories and products to be by Date Added. I have figured out how to change the products sort order via some code edit. But, can't figure out how to change the subcategories sort order.

I would like it to sort in both the left PRODUCTS menu as well as the center box when you click on a Category and all subcategories + images are displayed.
