Default Add GST Tax to Table rate

Hello fellow zenners, I just want to ask if it is possible to add gst to table shipping rate?

    here is my shipping table

    0-5 kg $315.00 plus GST
    6-10 kg $365.00 plus GST
    10-20 kg $455 plus GST

    How can I achieve this?
I tried to clone a table rate shipping module and it worked fine, what I want now is add the GST to the shipping price..

    Thanks folks for your help.

What if the answer is no? What would that mean to you? What would you do then?
What if the answer is yes?
Did you set a tax class on your shipping module's settings?

yes, ive already set the tax class to GST but it is still showing the price. (eg if the product weighs 19kg, the price that it shows is $455.00)

Honestly I would prefer yes as an answer because I really need that functionality

Is the tax added at the end of checkout correctly even if not displayed the way you wish earlier?

I'm sure someone will put me straight if I'm wrong, but I don't think Zencart can actually do this.

It can display the prices *with* GST/TAX or it can display them *excluding* the GST/Tax component (The GST/Tax component is/can be displayed separately).

It can't display both the GST inclusive and GST exclusive at the same time.

If GST/Tax is shown as a separate item (IOW, if prices are shown GST exclusive) the shipping tax is *added* to the displayed product tax.

As I said, I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm mistaken.

Anyway, there are two issues at play here.
    1. Whether the tax is being added or not. (this will depend on the tax zone settings, etc).
    2. How the tax is displayed.

It is unclear from this thread whether you are having an issue with the adding of the tax, or whether it is the way the tax is displayed.

The first posts implied the issue was with the adding of the tax, this latest post suggests that the issue is with how they are being displayed.

    Please clarify.

    Cheers

sorry for the confusion. All Im concerned with is the second issue, how the tax is displayed. Just wondering if it would be possible to display both the inc and ex gst of the shipping.

No, in v1.xx, there is no built-in ability to display BOTH "inc" and "ex" tax prices side by side.
To do that requires writing your own custom code and/or using and addon to do it, if such a thing even exists.
