Title Back-gradient problems

I'm sure you've been asked this before, i made a custom title back with a little bit of gradient near the top and (the only thing I changed from the classic title back was the color) and I can see the gratient on the top and bottom of my page as if the title backs were stacked on top of each other, solution? Give up on the gradient?

That happens on stock Zen Cart as well. The solution is to make your version of tile_back.gif taller.

You could change the CSS to have repeat-x on elements that use tile_back.gif, but that would leave the bottom of taller elements bare and text might hang off or look uncentered vertically.
