I would like to create a section for a friend of mine on my page tht is in the hospital and would like to set up a donation button on the page is there a way to do it paypal

Yep PayPal has that when you log in PayPal go to merchant account and then buttons. It will give you the code to put in your file where you want it. The code already includes the PayPal donate image as well.
