Default All catalog suddenly returns error 404

Everything seemed fine earlier today, and I can't think of anything I changed that would cause this to happen, but all my product pages, ez pages and other pages return 404 errors.

I have my home page and I can load the my account page and shopping cart page but nothing else. The template does have seo urls but it was installed by zencart-templates.com and worked fine yesterday.

I have not tried taking the shop live yet, so no major problem just yet, but please help if you can.

    Thanks.

    url if required is suberstyle.com/shop/

Almost has to be something about the URL rewriter. Can you turn it off temporarily in admin ?

I'll probably need to ask the template guys to do that. But...I'll hunt around a bit to see if there is anything in admin that I've not spotted yet.
    Thanks

It seems really awkward to have to get the template authors to go in and put this right. There is nothing in my admin panel to enable or disable...it's all hidden away in the code somewhere!

I don't like playing with MySql stuff but I was looking in the shop db and found three entries for 'zen_seo_cache'.
Would it do any harm to delete 'zen_seo_cache' in the database.

Never ever delete anything from the database unless you know *exactly* what it is for and what it does.

    Navigate to admin/tools/templat_selection

If you template authors did the right thing you'll have at least two enteies to select from, the original 'classic' plus the newly developed one.

Switch back to the 'classic' temple to see if the problem persists. If it does, then your problem has nothing to do with the templates at all and you'll be needing to look elsewhere.

Thank you RodG. The answer was of course...user error

The template guy kindly sorted out my .htaccess file that I had tinkered with while considering the options for moving the shop from /shop/ to public_html

Also he apologised for not sending me the admin url for the seo urls management. It is different to the regular admin pages, so now I have control over the seo urls .

The site is now working again. Thanks for all the replies.
