Swap quick links with top menu

Hello
i need to swap the links in my quick-links sidebox with the links in my top menu bar.
So the current links on my main top menu appear in a sidebox.
and the top menu bar shows the current quick-links.

I don't know how the styling will work out, but the header links are to EZ pages and the Quick Links sidebox is the Categories sidebox, renamed.

You could activate the ezpages sidebox and rename it, which will put your EZ pages links there. Then you could activate the navCatTabs which puts your category names in the header. If your template doesn't style navCatTabs the same way as navEZPages, you could make new EZ pages for the header, with Internal Links to the categories.

Using EZ pages:
when selecting the option to have the new page link appear in a sidebox.
i have two sideboxes.
How do i control which sidebox then new link appears in?
Currently any new ez page link appears in my 'information' sidebox
- the wrong place

That's because the sidebox named 'Information' is the ezpages sidebox, not the stock Zencart 'Information' sidebox.

guess id better rename the boxes
instead trying to move the links inside them
