Ultimate SEO URL's not working on some pages

I just finished installing the Ultimate SEO URL's; and everything seems to be working fine; but for some reason all of the products under the "coming soon" section do not have SEO freindly URLs.

Is this section something that has to be specified under the "Enter pages to allow rewrite" section? If so how do I specify these products? I have tried a few things in this area to no avail. I have not had to specify anything else on the site so far.

I have tried searching for answers but have been unable to locate any threads/posts with the same issue.

If you did it in order to help your SE rankings, you're mistaken. These SEO URL modules have no effect whatsoever on SE ranking potential.

The one you have installed is fraught with problems (the support thread is so long now, it pought to have its own forum).

There is no logical reason why anyone would need to install these modules. All the search engines prefer that the normal dynamic URL is maintained. Google has been advising people to leave the dynamic URL alone since 2006, and to only tamper with it if the dynamic URL is so cumbersome as to make deep-linking and deep-spidering difficult.

Zencart's dynamic URL's are extremely logical and very easy for SE's to interpret. Why do something that in fact, puts your SEO at risk?

It was not installed for SEO purposes; more for the human aspect. (Pasting links, getting an idea of the page content before hand, marketing, etc.) That being said if there are any issues with the google rating there is always the option to turn it off.

Anyways, do you have any idea why the SEO URLS are missing on products under this specific catagory? The products are under a different product classifcation than the rest of the products (everything else is "Product - General" This is "Product - Coming Soon"; a non-add to cart catagory. I wonder if this has to do with it?

ULTIMATE SEO is a highly problematic module, and you should remove it.

If you believe that static URL's will help your site, then you should rather install CEON's URI Mapping system.

Again... while this module will probably not have any effect on how many products you eventually sell, CEON's code is exceptionally clean and professional, and will give you a far more reliable and robust way of generating static URL's.

And for who has already SSU installed? Suddently removing the module wouldn't it make thousands of broken links in google?

What if switching to ceon mapping, can we hand-pick and make every link as it was with SSU? thanks

Probably, yes... and one of the best reasons for never installing it in the first place.

Why "switch"... ? While CEON'S code is far more reliable, I still don't see any reason why such a mod is needed. There is absolutely no evidence at all, that any of these URL re-writers have an influence on incresing sales.... but LOTS of evidence of the problems they cause. The thread on ULTIMATE SEO URL'S is now so long and complex, it almost justifies having its own forum.
