Atributes wont set...

Hello,
I have read and watched videos on attributes but they don't seem to work on mine. I have noticed from watching the vid tutorials that when you click insert, it then loads up the same page so you can select others. However, on mine when you click insert, you are then directed to the main admin screen. Does anyone know why this is happening?

I am using the latest version of zen cart, everyone seems to be able to get them working but me!

1) What actual version are you using? your previous issue was with the "tell a friend" function which was I think removed from the latest version (1.5) of zencart, go into admin --> Version (this is on the right hand side next to the log off link)

It will say something like
Zen Cart 1.3.9h
Database Patch Level: 1.3.9h

It will also give you the info you need rgarding php and mysql versions

2) Press reply and fill in the posting tips

3) have you checked the /cache folder for debug errors

Ok the latest version is 1.5, you are using 1.39h which is the previous version, always state the actual version as the 1.5 version has lots of changes compared to 1.39h, as in most add-ons need to be rewritten/altered for 1.5.

Anyway

to check you cache you would need to look in this folder on your server (I assume we are still on your testing site? not your actual working store)

example.com/testdirectory/cache

There may be debug files in there.

Just a little more info on how I installed to my host...

When I installed I used 1 click through just host but this is the only issue I have encountered. Is there a particuar folder i could upload seperately to correct this? To update I use Filezilla.

The only changes I have made are to the template which is ezstorenow.

Regarding the error message
No that shouldn't have any effect, this means there is (or was)an error in your template, but that is on the store side, not the admin side. and was about 12 days ago.

Regarding being up to date
Something is definitely odd, if it is saying you are uptodate when using 1.39h, all my 1.39h store say "there is a newer version available"



1) Have you done a file compare with a clean fresh admin. download the 1.39h zip file from here
http://sourceforge.net/projects/zenc....3.x%20Series/

unzip it on your computer

Download your entire admin from your site, then use a comparison tool like winwerge (free for windows users) to see any difference between the two folders make sure you set it so that it checks subdirectories as well, if you have made no changes to admin they should be identical (apart from the config file obviously)

If there are differences let us know before make changes

Also can you do me a favour and go to the admin

I have now managed to update my zencart to the latest version. I checked that attributes worked and tbey did. i went back and created the attributes settings fully but when I went back to product price manager it is doing this again... When I press insert it directs me to the admin overview/ start page.

I have no clue what to do and it is delaying the launch of my website.
