Shipping setup

Hello All,

Is there a way to define a shipping setup for each product ?
as I have some product that is a flat $40
some is
Items total
$0-$50.00 = $4.99
$50.01-$100.00 = $7.99
$100.01+ = $11.99

and some Items are just standard shipping rates.
but right now every shipping method install goes to all Items
in the checkout and that just will not work, I need to set
each Item with a specific shipping method.

Or if someone can point me to some help with the shipping setup in general.

I order 3 "some product" that is a flat $40.00 ... I order "some other products" that "regular shipping rates" ... and I order "some other products" that use the "Items total" ...

How do I identify "some products" from "some other products" from "some other products" and "what" is "regular shipping rates"?

I don't know, I am so confused with shipping, all the vendors are different in some way or another,
and to try to get them all correct some are WAY over charged and some are not charged enough,

In some cases the shipping is so much that is makes us uncompetitive and people leave as we can not set the shipping for that product.
and the only fix is just to do free shipping.

not sure what to do about getting fair shipping and keeping us competitive.

Can someone please inform me if it's possible to set shipping costs based on several price ranges. Example: from £ 0.99 up to £5.99 = £2.20, from £6.00 up to 12.00 = £3.00, from £12.01 up to £25.00 = £4.00

I am using a flate rate at present which is fine for larger packages but too expensive for smaller items. My site is www.thegiftfairy.co.uk/zecarta

You could use the Table Rate table shipping method if everyone gets the same rates as you have listed ...

If you need different rates for different zones then the Zone Rate zones can be used ...
