StockByAttributes Not Working Properly

[FONT="Courier New"]Hello Fellow Zeners! I have run into a complication installing this addon. After adding the sql script to the database, I presume to add the folders to there specific destinations. When, in fact, they have been added I then go to my /admin folder in my browser to go and view the content and try it out... All I'm getting is a blank page.


So, I am wondering if there is something I am doing wrong in my steps? For example: StockByAttributes states that you need to rename your /YOUR_TEMPLATE to the template you use but seeing that I am still new at Zencart, I can't seem to get a grasp on what my template even is. With that being said, I feel that I have 2 problems:


1) I am not placing files in the correct places.
2) I need to know the template I am using.

I have no templates other than the one(s) that came with ZenCart. If anyone has a more descriptive way of installing this addon other than the instructions given by the StockByAttributes team. I followed their instructions and I get a Blank screen for my /admin folder.


If anyone here requires more information than what I have given, please ask me as I will have this post on subscribed so I can reply to you A.S.A.P. cause I need this handled A.S.A.P.

Need more information: What version of zen-cart you trying to install this on. 1.3.9 ? 1.5.0?

Did you rename your admin folder? Hope so for security reasons.

if so did you rename the admin folder in the mod before you uploaded it?

Version of Zencart 1.3.9, Renamed my admin folder before I tried loading the mod, version of SBA is 1.4.14 .

i would double check that you rename the mod admin folder correctly and it got uploaded to your server in the correct folder.

This is not the issue, to make more sense of this, It's a problem with the way I am uploading the addon to the designated folders with an end result of deleting my admin page.


When in FTP file manager (godaddy.com) I read the installation and go about the process of adding the folders to their new homes. Here's where I may be making the mistake:

1) select the folders
2) go to move folders
3) move the folders into the directory path
---> 4) an option comes up to Move files to destination(with a catch)

The catch is I have to Copy and Replace the folders that were already there, I did this and my end result left me with a blank admin page.


BUT, when in the instructions it states that I must replace files that are already there for the current ones. If I do this I get a blank admin page.



Is the solution to mannually add the files into their designated folders instead of replacing them? I figure by now that this may be the case of why I am getting the blank admin page, but there are tons of files inside SBA and in fact I MUST replace certain files within the zencart home folder to get this addon to work.

Still sounds like something is not being merged right. Do you have ftp access and add the files from a program like filezilla?

I use godaddy's built-in file manager.

I am also trying to use the stock by attributes w/ version 1.5 of zen cart. I also use godaddys built in java ftp client, I've renamed the folders as stated in the instructions and I'm also getting blank pages.

Unless you are using my alpha version. Their is no version of SBA that works with zen-cart 1.5
