Help with middle bar styling

I've been struggling with this for a while now and I can't find the way to make the productListing "bar" to extend to the edges of the site and get a border around it. It doesn't seem like it would be too hard since there are only 3 places that contain the tileback.gif image and this is one of them, but when I try and throw a border around that group in the CSS it does nothing

What happens if you add this to your stylesheet:

.productListing-rowheading {border: 1px solid #000000; }

[rbarbour]

could find this in your stylesheet

.centerColumn, #bannerOne, #bannerTwo, #bannerThree, #bannerFour, #bannerFive, #bannerSix {
     padding: 0.8em;
}

and remove

.centerColumn,

then add:

.productListing-data {
padding:10px;
}
