Shipping calculation for large packages USPS is wrong

Hello!

We sell products that are usually apparel box size. But we have some oversized, yet light, packages, which are more expensive to ship via USPS, due to size and not weight.
Since on the product info page it only allows me to enter the weight and not the size of the package, the price calculation is incorrect.

Is there a way to enter the size or to apply flat rate shipping to one category of items or specific individual items?

To the best of my knowledge there are only two shipping modules that support (and use) product dimensions; Canada Post and Ozpost.

Yes, this can be done (quite easily). It does involve a couple of code modifications. There have been numerous discussions (and examples) as to what needs to be done in these forums.
