Where in the sidebar?
The sidebars are configured to show LAYOUT BOXES, so the link should be added to a box. You can use the BLANK SIDEBOX add-on to create a box to house this link.

I want to put the Home link as the first link at the top of menu in the sidebar.
Thanks
What "menu" ?
You need to be specific.
The sidebars are constructed to display SIDE-BOXES, and you control the display and the position of these sideboxes under TOOLS >>> LAYOUT BOXES CONTROLLER in your admin panel.
The BEST way to add a link, is to use the BLANK SIDEBOX add-on, and then if you only want that sidebox's CONTENTS to show, you can HIDE its HEADER using a CSS {display:none} declaration. In this way you have the benefit of a sidebox - which is the PROPER way to add content to a sidebar - and by hiding its HEADER, you can show the contents of that sidebox - which is now your "Home Page" link.
But why?
There are lots of conventional places where the HOME link will be displayed in a manner your users will find quite easily.
