What is the proper way to enter the weight? in yahoo is by lb. example : 1/2 lb has to be enter as 0.5 instead of 8oz. is it the same way with Zen Cart

So that means you have to know the weight of the box? Because what happens if you it does not weigh more then a pound?
You also have settings in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging for the Tare Rate if you want to use those to address the weight of packaging ...

Okay thank you! So if its 8 ounces it would be? I am sorry for the stupid questions but I am more confused about the ounces verses the pounds.
1 ounce = 0.0625 pounds
8 * 0.0625 = 0.5 pounds
