Subcategory display

Hullo!

I'm working on a client's website and came across a peculiar event.
There are 3 Top Level Categories.
The first of which displays the message "There are no products to list in this category." on the main page when clicked.
The other two display the subcategories on the main page.
I've searched the database, and everything seems fine.
I mean, the subcategories display in the side box when clicked, but why not the main page?

Anyone got any ideas? I can't figure this out for the life of me.

Woops, forget that.
Now it's displaying subcategories on only one of the categories...
