display subcategories

Hi

I am working to a website which use zen cart. And I have a problem when I display subcategories.

Can anyone help me (or make a suggestion) about how I can display subcategories in a new page ( must to be a box with an image and subcategory name).

So I need:

1) after press category name to open a new page
2). on new page to be like a box subcategories (name + image)
3). after click on subcategory box to open other page with products.

Any idea is welcome.

It would help to know why the subcategories need to be on a new page rather than the standard Zencart subcategory listing.

I add template design for a better idea.

On this pic is first page:

After click on categories from bottom script must to open a page like this:

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/831/pageone.jpg/

and here will be subcategories.

Site owner want to be like this. Is possible to do something like this with zen cart?
