Error Received When Access Store
Your /includes/configure.php and/or /admin/includes/configure.php file contains invalid path information and/or invalid database-connection information.
ZenCart v1.3.9
Hosted on FatCow
Mysql 5.0.77
PHP 5.2.12
This occurred on a running store (let’s call it PrimaryStore) that had not had any changes initiated by us.
I contacted FatCow’s TS and they said:
1) They had not made any DB changes
2) The DB path I gave them from the configure.php was valid
3) The data in the database looked good.
4) They suggested I load a back up of the database
My oldest DB backup was three days old and I hadn’t been on the WEB site due to lack of activity for more than three days. I suspected that if the data was corrupted, it had become corrupted more than three days earlier. I have not installed the backup yet. Here’s what I have done:
Reinstalled ZenCart in a new directory (let’s call it TestStore) and configured it for the same database as our PrimaryStore.
It came up but did not have any product, customers, etc. configured.
I compared the database path in the configure.php files from the TestStore with the PrimaryStore and it was different. I edited the PrimaryStore configuration.php file for the new path and the store came up. But only some documents and a few other prior tailoring were present. Products, merchant account, shipping, customers are all not configured or present.
I have also changed the admin folder’s configuration file path and I have searched for other files that have the old path to no avail. I created a single test product on the PrimaryStore and it shows up on both stores but none of the previously configured products are present.

Here’s what I suspect: Creating the new TestStore and configuring it for the same DB as the PrimaryStore didn’t really help me TS this issue because the single DB created another whole set of tables associated with a new DB path. When I edit the PrimaryStore configuration file to use the new path it points to TestStore DB tables not the original PrimaryStore tables. Which means I still do not know if my DB has my PrimaryStore data and need dba skills to find out.

Anyone able to either confirm my hypothesis or offer an alternative?

Thanks
Steve
