    Default Upload attribute mod

    Hello

    I will preface this question.

I am new to Zen Cart and I have searched High and low in the documentation and downloads.

Im looking for either the stock feature or a add on mod to add an upload image attribute to my products..

Can anyone lead me to the correct location.

    Thanks

The Option Name has several Option Types ... the one you want to use for Uploads is called File ...

These do not get separate Option Values but use the TEXT [RESERVED FOR TEXT/FILES ATTRIBUTES] when adding the attribute to the Product in the Attribute Controller ...

    Linda

    Thanks for the info.

I am a new user here but you have helped me in the past when I used straight Oscommerce and was building my first store by installing mods (Lots of them) and some of yours.

    Thank god for Zen (Right?)

    Again - Thanks

I am sorry, could you help me understand this, as I think I have a similar issue.

I have a few clients who keep asking about a similar function in the cart. They both sell products online, and want the end user to be able to upload a photo, and/or add text to the product they are buying.

For example, I am buying chocolate, but want to put my picture on it, so I need to be able to customize my piece of chocolate with my nickname and perhaps a photo. These items need to be uploaded and attached to the order. Ideally, it could even be previewed on the item I am buying....

    Go to your admin panel.

Select Catalog > Atrributes Controller > then select your product

Choose LOGO for option name and text/files for a value.

That will let you upload images.

Use LINE 1 as a option name for just text.

You'll see just play around with it.

Thank you! Perfect. Well...there is still one little thing...When the text is present, it places it on the order, which is great, but when the file is uploaded, it seems to be lost in neverland, and reference to it does not appear anywhere on the order.

Is there a way to make the order show the link to the uploaded file for ease of processing the order?

Sorry to be so new!...just so much to learn.

    Thanks again for your help!

The files uploaded go to ../images/uploads /

You need to access it through FTP or other.

Ya it shoud be accessable through the stores admin panel but as far as I know its not at this time.
