Google Merchant Center Feeder for ZC v1.5.x [Support Thread]

The problem I'm coming across is when I click on "confirm" to make the file it just pops open a small window with the sites homepage in it. NO file is created.

cjmarley - i had this issue, spent ages trying to fix/sort, i have about 3500 products, would hit 'confirm' button to run creation of latest feed, but would only get to about 1500 products, max, then timeout and stop, so, first thing i did was to set debugging to true in google feeder admin on zen cart, then i could see where abouts the feed was stopping as when debugging is on you can see all products added as it goes, i found that it stopped in similar place all the time, so, this just confirmed that was a timeout issue, so, i then changed the Max Execution Time to 1000 (it was 300), it seems to work fine now, have created a feed and uploaded. I used previous versions of this add on no problem, a little odd that the new one has timeout issues, but which can be sorted by following above steps...

Question for anyone running this..

I realize that I have to add the following attributes:
Size, Color, Age Group, Gender, Material, Pattern, ISBN, EAN, UPC, and Google Product Category

Seems as if UPC, and Google Product Category are required for ALL products, but what about Size, Color, Age Group, Gender, Material, Pattern, ISBN, & EAN?? If these attributes do NOT apply to my products, do I HAVE to include these attributes for those products that they do not apply to? If the answer to this is yes, what values do I use for the option values for attributes that do not apply to my products???

hi i have installed this on a fresh install of 1.5.0
when i go and install the install sql mi get a 500 errorr ?
can any one advise thanks

I've installed a new 1.5.1 Zencart store and I am running Google Merchant Center Feeder version 1.13.0. All would appear to be ok, but when I click to generate the feed file, it pauses for a while like it is doing its job but then it throws up a 550 page not found.

Any ideas anyone?

I just wanted to update this thread, as I found the solution to my 550 Page Not Found problem when installed in v1.5.1... The issue seemed to be around the Timeout Setting in the Admin > Configure page for the Merchant Centre Feeder. I removed the timeout so there was none, and then the feed starting working fine and stopped producing the 550 Page Not Found error.

cjmarley. Did you ever sort this? I have the same problem but the solution posed by mattys didn't resolve it for me. I wonder if we have the same issue?

I am getting the same response. It opens my home page and does not generate a feed. It was working yesterday and did not do anything, but change computers.
