    help question no longer receiving emails from Contact Us and orders (GoDaddy hosting)

    I have realized that since about week ago I stopped getting emails from my website contact US form, and when customer place an order
    I do not get confirmation, customer receives it
    My webhosting is through godaddy , and they blame on my web form as culprit to the problem.

    When I send email to myself through my website it tells me that email has been sent successfully , but I never receive it, I log into godaddy webmail and the email is not there, same for orders , if I process it customer will get it but I will not, I checked the error bug and nothing has been reported related to email, I have read few posts regards to email option in admin, and everything is set correctly, re-do it so to be sure it is correct, I don't know where to look now,
    for breath I changed the port from 25 to 80 and I was able to get email but then it stopped again , so I suspect something between godaddy email and my setup, any suggestions are welcome

    What TRANSPORT method have you got selected in the email admin area of your ZC installation?

    If GoDaddy uses SMTPAUTH, then you may need to select that method, remembering to make necessary changes to the settings at the BOTTOM of the email management area as well.

    BEST solution (of course you do know this...) host with a decent host company...

    I was using PHP method for 3 years, without incident..


    I extended with go daddy for another year when email was working , this will be my last year with them ,

    See if GoDaddy has issued an announcement about their email transport setup. I know that many hosts now require SMTPAUTH, because of security issues. GoDaddy is not noted for informing its customers of system changes, so it may require that you send a support ticket. (Do not expect an intelligent reply... They're not noted for this either...)

    They are working on it, it seems that the email disappears somewhere and at this moment don't know where , they told me PHP and smtp are way to go, I am hoping they can figure out this.

    As a matter of interest... have you lost orders as a result of this? And additionally, how many hours have you spent trying to resolve it? (Hours that could be better spent on marketing and sales).

    Turns out that GoDaddy is (for you at least) starting to be an extremely EXPENSIVE host...

    It may even cost you your business.

    I did lost business, I had customers calling me if I received emails from them, and I don't know how many more I did not receive email from, I have to take serious decision..
    is there a list of hosting providers that are friendly to zencart ?

    what files does contactus page require to process ?
    in includes or admin section to operate ?

    I have a another website that I use for testing , and I tested the zencart contactus page and it worked with GD host, the settings are matched perfectly , on my test site works but live site doesn't I suspect something is not working or the code is missing or corrupted

    Thanks, the program worked great run the test and found no error between the current and my old backup..
