Shipping Weight Is Incorrect

New installation of ZenCart 1.5

At checkout 3 lbs is being added to the shipping weight of all orders and I have no clue why. For example, in the following pic I have an item in my cart that weighs 0.1 lbs.



When I go to checkout, 3lbs is being added to the weight. For example, the above order of 0.1 lbs gets 3.1 lbs as in the following pic. Obviously this messes up the shipping cost. This happens for all shipping options, I have tried others too ...



Any ideas?

Peek in the Configuration ... Shipping/Packaging ... and set the Tare Rates to 0:0 ...

That worked in getting the weight correct, thanks. I still have some sort of problem as the shipping cost for UPS is $14.37 to ship from my store to my home (5 miles) but I suppose I should start another thread if I want help on that.
