[Not a ZC bug] Email Settings Not Changing????

This could just be my inexperience but I don't think Email settings are changing in my admin?
If I have my email setting set to either PHP, SMTP or SMTPAUTH, the email headers all remain the same.

X-Mailer: PHPMailer [version 1.73] via Zen Cart
MIME-Version: 1.0
Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"

How do I know I am using the recommended setting of smtpauth?
Am I wrong, but I was sure the X-Mailer details changed when I had a 1.3.9 cart.

No, this is not a bug.

The X-Mailer header doesn't change regardless of the Email Transport method selected.

Your store will use the setting you specify in Admin->Configuration->Email Options->Email Transport
