    red flag Some Customer Details Missing in Admin

    Today I needed to contact a customer about their trouble ordering a product. I went to their information in the admin area and the phone number, birthdate and gender were all blank. Birthdate and gender really aren't important to me but I need the phone number to be there.

    None of my min. values are blank or set to zero so the customer is required to provide this information when creating an account. However, it simply is not showing up for me.

    I checked the rest of my customer information and there are others that are missing information as well. I have v1.5 installed but some of these customers registered prior to v1.5 upgrade.

    Any chance the customers whose phone numbers aren't listed are those who used Paypal Express rather than creating an account on your site ?

    I have this issue and yes I have just started using the Paypal Express Module. How do I get the phone number out of those customers.

    Unfortunately I was never able to get that information for the customers.

    The customers don't sign up for an account on your site so the information you request during registration may not appear. The only information that gets transferred to your site about the customers is the basic information from PayPal Express checkout.

    If your customer chooses to share their telephone number while they're on the PayPal payment page, then PayPal will send the number back to your store and make it part of the order record.
    If they opt not to share that information, then of course you won't get it.

    You do have option of forcing them to give their phone number, by editing your payment-receiving preferences inside your PayPal account.
