Redirect Issue

Hi all,

I need to redirect the homepage to the product listing page of my store. In other words, if i enter www.domain.com, the product listing page will show instead of the index.php.

Can anyone here please advise me how to do it. I am been looking through the internet for hours but to no avail.

You can usually create a 301 permanent redirect in your hosting control panel, if, like me, you aren't knowledgable about .htaccess files.

If you let us know exactly what you mean by 'product listing page' and why you're doing this, we may have other suggestions.

I came a long way figuring how to use zen cart. In fact, I don't really know coding and hence, this explains why I may not know htaccess as well.

To elaborate, let's say I enter www.domain.com, it would bring me http://www.domain.com/index.php?main...index&cPath=66. May I know how can this be done. Many thanks!

This may or may not be suitable for your needs, but check the admin/configuration/Layout settings.

One of the options is
Main Page - Opens with Category

If you enter the number of one of your categories this will effectively become your home page. (no redirects needed)
