    Default Re: Facebook Comments plugin

    i am using a fresh install of 1.5 ,, the modules that are installed , i have used before on another installation with no problems.. i have never come across any module that re-writes the permissions of any files,, i wouldn't have thought that there would be any need to alter any of the default permissions on the shopping cart..

    i took your advice and contacted my hosts, it was they that said permissions had been changed by an installed module...

    i have managed to install the sql file from this module ,, however i still have issues regarding not having permissions to access certain files..
    When inputting the JavaScript SDK code , i get the same denial- but when i just enter normal text ,it inputs it with no problem ?? however i can get the module working by inserting the javascript file directly into the tpl_main_page

    This module DOES NOT and CAN NOT change file permissions. All it does is adds an entry in the configuration menu with some options, nothing else.

    If you feel this module did something bad to your site (and I'm sure it didn't), I suggest you restore your backup from before installing this module and try installing it again, but this time following the instructions. I'0m sure you'll get it working as everyone else did...

    red flag Re: Facebook Comments plugin

    Hi there, this is for you and others who wanted to know

    If you don't see the folder in there it is ok to just add the folder in there. I did and it works just fine, so I hope I helped someone out.

    Code:
    <div id="facebookComments">
    	<fb:comments data-href="<?php echo $_SERVER['HTTP_HOST'] .$_SERVER['REQUEST_URI']; ?>" num_posts="<?php echo FACEBOOK_COMMENTS_POSTS; ?>" width="<?php echo FACEBOOK_COMMENTS_WIDTH; ?>"></fb:comments>
    </div>
    Good luck.

    looks like you forgot to paste in the sql file as described, I know its confusing the way they wrote that.

    Do you know why when I go to add the JavaScript SDK in the admin area, I get the following error

    Forbidden

    You don't have permission to access /admin/configuration.php on this server.

    Any idea why this would be?

    Is this Zen Cart 1.5.x or earlier? If it's 1.5.x you should check your admin privileges. If it's an earlier version, perhaps you're using Admin Profiles module and didn't assign access rights for that page... I'm just guessing here since I've never encountered this so far.

    Thanks, it's Zen Cart 1.5! I was able to add it by going directly into my database.

    I also get an error on the comments box. The box shows up fine, but just below it, it says

    Warning: http://xxxx/xxxx/xxx.html is unreachable.

    Anyone else getting that error?

    I have just installed the Facebook plugin and tested the Facebook comment feature. Everything tested well except the picture. It seems to link to some random picture instead of the item picture in discussion. I am running the version 1.5.1. If you know the answer, would very much appreciate your help.

    Cheers!
