Help! Quantity Discount Stopped Working

Hi Gang!

I had my quantity discount working just fine until I noticed today that the price isn't affected in the cart anymore. I mean it doesn't deduct the discount from the extended price (2 or more).

I had this set from Zen Cart's Products Price Manager and I had the discount applied on 2 items with "Amount Off".

again - this worked just fine until today - there were no new mods installed since.

UPDATE:

The discounted price is saved all well in the qty discount Extended Price field in the Product Price Manager (on Admin's side). The only thing is that it is not reflected in the cart.

Any clues for where should I start looking? Also I am using zencart Zen Cart v1.3.7.1

ANOTHER UPDATE:

the price is discounted correctly in the Quantity Box on the product page. So my only issue is that it's not discounted in the cart.

Looks like if a user is logged in, the quantity discount price shows correctly in the cart. the issue is only for a not logged in user.

Hello! I am having this EXACT same issue. Here is a link to my site. Let me recap:

-Quantity discount has stopped being reflected in the cart total
-Quantity discount is setup properly and is being reflected on my product pages (link to product page with quantity discount)
-If a user is logged in, the quantity discount price shows correctly in the cart. The issue is only for a not logged in user.

This is quite a big issue for me, as I know for a fact this problem has cost me sales. ANY help is GREATLY appreciated!

Actually, the problem is also occurring with logged in users.

So:

The cart sub-total is not reflecting quantity discounts BUT
If the user proceeds through checkout, the quantity discounts are applied and they end up with the correct total.

I'm pulling my hair out here. Any help is appreciated

I add 50 to my cart not logged in ... then create an account and go to checkout and see:
Sub-Total: $12.50

Zone Rates (Shipping to US): $5.00
Total: $17.50

Both show the 50 x .25 = $12.50 price ...

This is what I am seeing in my cart as a guest:



Remember, the sub-total does not include the shipping. The subtotal should be $12.50 (.25 * 50) but instead it is showing $17.50 (.35 * 50).

I also want to add that you are seeing the correct sub-total and total because you created an account and went through the first step of the checkout process. After you go through Step 1 of checkout, the subtotal corrects itself and accounts for the quantity discounts. However, it does not take into account quantity discounts when viewing the cart as a guest or a logged in user... you have to go through Step 1 of checkout before it accounts for the quantity discounts.

Most users probably never get that far though since the high sub-total in their cart makes them want to shop somewhere else

Can you switch to the Classic Template ... does anything change?
