Special Dealer Accounts?

Hi Everyone,

New to Zen Cart but have just finished a completely custom theme for it so it blends into my site nicely :)

I have found numerous topics that were close to what I am looking to do but couldn't find an exact answer.

I want to be able to make user accounts, that when they are logged in, have access to designated products that the general public can not see.

The reason being, we are an apparel store, and I have dealers who buy in bulk. I would like to be able to make them an account and give them access to our wholesale items so they can order right from within the same store so it is just as seamless experience for them as is our regular customers.

What would be the best way to do this? I know from research I can make a hidden category and share that link, but I would greatly prefer giving dealers accounts access and when they login they see the dealer quantities.
